Beans, Granules, and Mini-Figures
If you are new to the world of collectible toys, navigating the sizes can be tricky—especially since different brands use different names! Here is the breakdown:
Kawaii Beans and Granules are actually two names for the exact same thing. Popularized by brands like POP MART and AMLLS, these are micro-sized, solid resin or PVC characters (usually between 0.5 to 1.5 inches) that collectors love to buy in bulk blind bags or scoop into display jars. While Western collectors usually call them "pop beans or beans," Asian-owned platforms and retailers often translate the term literally as "granules."

On the other hand, Mini-Figures are the standard next step up. Measuring around 2 to 4 inches tall, mini-figures feature much greater detail, intricate outfits, and sometimes distinct poses or small accessories, making them standalone display pieces rather than tiny bulk collectibles.

Tip: If you see “Granules” listed for brands like AMLLS, don’t worry - they are the exact same adorable, micro-sized pocket figures you know as beans!
